“Dr. JJ Wellman saved our French bulldogs life. She diagnosed him with a herniated disc in his neck after seeing him for 15 mins. She has a sixth sense about animals that no other vet has. Our Frenchie is very high maintenance and Dr. Wellman has given us exceptional care. She is always up on the latest news and technology. Anytime We have a new concern she has the latest research to back up her diagnosis. Dr. Wellman recently performed Radio Surgery on Ernie’s nasal passages. She opened up his airways and also reduced his elongated palate. He is sleeping better and breathing better putting his pep back in his step . Dr. Wellman’s love, compassion and ability to care for animals is why we love going to happy Paws. We are so thankful that we found Dr. Wellman and Happy Paws. Ernie is a happier and healthier dog because of Dr Wellman 💙

Dr Wellman’s intellect and compassion far exceed my high standards. I have worked as a nurse and lived my entire life with a chronic illness and I have never witnessed a doctor as highly skilled as Dr Wellman is and who has such empathy and compassion. I’ve recently had the pleasure of meeting Dr. JJ Wellman, touring her new Lafayette facility, and boarding my cat in large rooms (not cages) for three weeks. Dr. Wellman took excellent care of my cat Leia, spent time with her, gave her needed meds and medical advice, and sent me comments and videos while I was out of the country. Knowing my senior Leia was well taken care was important to me enjoying my trip.
